KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville event that features large puppets and people dressed up as anything their imagination can create is set to start Sunday, marking an annual celebration of community and creativity.
The Cattywampus Parade and Block Party will start at Suttree Landing Park on May 18. This year, organizers said it is centered around a single theme, “Our Joy is Powerful.” As part of the event, community members of all ages are encouraged to make giant puppets, masks, costumes and other kinds of art before marching as one for the parade.
