“The Commons” Brings Interactive Art Installations to West Palm Beach Public Spaces

The streets of West Palm Beach are set to be transformed into an open-air gallery as ArtLife West Palm Beach rolls out the third edition of The Commons, an initiative designed to showcase local artistic talent in public spaces. “The Commons: 5 Artists 5 Spaces” invites residents and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the “Endless Summer” theme through a range of site-specific works now on display at various locations in the city, according to the West Palm Beach official announcement.

In partnership with the Mandel Public Library, these installations not only serve to beautify and energize the area but also offer up a series of free workshops that promise to actively engage the community in the creative process. West Palm Beach stands out with its public art program by combining hands-on educational events and showcasing local talent, giving residents a chance to help shape the art that represents their city.

A spotlight shines on Quimetta Perle at the library’s 4th floor, where an original poem titled “Let Me Bring You Something Beautiful” is to be experienced across a series of eight textile works. Fans of Perle can also anticipate joining her for a Fabric Collage workshop on November 8. Mei O’Malley offers an immersive comic series located by the library elevators, inviting viewers into a world where characters explore West Palm Beach, presented at the Mandel Fan Fest on May 24, as detailed by the city’s website…
