Deceased driver in Chadds Ford Easter crash with both occupants shot is identified

The Chester County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday released the identity of the driver of a BMW who died days after the early Easter morning crash at Baltimore Pike and Wilmington West Chester Pike in Chadds Ford Township.

Joseph A. Del Sordo, who previously had been reported by state police to be 19 years old, died April 29 in Willistown Township and the cause of death is still pending, according to the verification of death form certified by Chester County Deputy Coroner Madelyn Kinneary and obtained by the Daily Times.

This is the incident in which state police said both occupants of the BMW were shot from within the vehicle. A 17-year-old girl from Brookhaven, said by troopers to be the passenger in the BMW, was pronounced dead at the scene on April 20…
