GRANTS PASS, Ore. — K9 Otis is transitioning from the Grants Pass Police Department to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to become a Deputy, Grants Pass PD reported this week.
“Unfortunately, we did not find enough tracking work for Otis here locally and did not want to have his special tracking skills go to waste,” Grants Pass PD said. “In Marion County, Otis should get a lot more work, which should make him an even happier hound!”
The department thanked Detective Gasperson and his family, who have trained Otis and have had him as a member of their family since May 2022, helping to mold Otis into an outstanding tracker…
