Pop-up showers and a few storms continue through the early evening, then mostly fizzle out after sunset. Low tonight drop back into the 60s, then with more sun in the morning Thursday, temperatures surge, bringing highs into the 80s. Storms return Thursday night, with chances for severe storms into the late night hours.
The mayor’s office said a freight train heading eastbound between Limestone and Water streets came to an abrupt stop, causing a grain spill. There is no threat to the public, but the EPA and hazmat teams were called to the scene
