MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – The man charged in connection with assaulting a 15-year-old girl at Lake St. Clair Metropark has been issued a higher bond, officials said.
Abdulnasar Muthana Abdullah Muthana, 23, of Detroit, was charged with criminal sexual assault-fourth-degree force or coercion, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. If convicted, he faces up to two years in jail and must register as a Tier II offender on the sex offender registry.
Prosecutor files motion for higher bond
He was initially issued a $50,000 personal bond, with conditions that include having no contact with the victims, no contact with minor children, no weapons, no drugs and no entrance into Lake St. Clair Metropark or any other park where there are children.
Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido filed a motion on Wednesday, May 14, seeking a higher bond or a GPS tether, along with a mental health evaluation for Muthana, “due to his behavior regarding the teenage girls and his conduct after arrest.”
