MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A Montgomery man has been arrested and charged after he robbed a local retail store and tried to flee from police, authorities say.
The incident happened on May 7 at the City Gear in the 2400 block of East South Boulevard.
Police say the suspect, Ronnie Cook, walked into the City Gear to buy clothes and shoes. Once at the cash register, he pulled out a handgun and left the store without paying for his items…
