Lansing Man Found Dead in Hummer at Tennessee Tow Yard, Murfreesboro Police Probe Suspicious Death

A man discovered deceased in a vehicle at a Tennessee tow yard has been identified as 63-year-old Dale Hilsabeck from Lansing, Michigan. Murfreesboro Police Department began investigating the case as a “suspicious death” after Hilsabeck’s remains were found inside his 2007 Hummer H3 which had been towed from a Walmart parking lot to the E.A. Towing lot on April 5, as per CBS News.

The discovery was made on May 1; however, the tow yard employees only located the body while processing a tow lien because the Hummer had not been claimed, detailed ClickOnDetroit.com, after noticing a number of flies and an odor around the vehicle, they used a lock-out tool to gain access to the locked SUV with its windows covered in blackout material, preventing visibility into the space where the man was found lying on a sleeping mat with the back seat laid out flat.

Currently, authorities are waiting for the results of an autopsy to establish the cause of Hilsabeck’s death, as confirmed by the Murfreesboro Police, who are working alongside both Walmart and E.A. Towing to understand the circumstances surrounding Hilsabeck’s passing, ensuring full cooperation in the investigation, according to a briefing issued in a statement obtained by Lansing State Journal…
