Warwick man accused of killing Charlotte Lester pleads not guilty

(WJAR) — A Warwick man who is accused of killing Charlotte Lester pleaded not guilty to his grand jury indictment Thursday morning.

Mark Perkins, 64, is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Lester, an East Greenwich woman who was missing since 2022.

In February, a judge ruled Perkins be held without bail after a multi-day bail hearing.

A Cumberland Farms employee, who had told police Perkins came into the store on May 17, 2022, with blood on his hands and scratches and bite marks on his arms, testified at that hearing…
