TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officers spent half of their Wednesday in Wakulla County, cleaning up debris in the waterways.
Chris Boley with FWC said they haven’t done this in over 10 years, and recent hurricanes have impacted the amount of debris.
“Including in the debris is going to be derelict crab traps, so that’s going to be traps that are damaged, destroyed, unusable, or don’t have the required names and buoys on them, so you know, these are hazards that are not seen from riding in your vessel that can cause potential damage,” Boley said…
