Caregiver caught splurging on Cartier, Gucci and more with dead client’s credit cards

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Lake Worth caregiver has been accused of stealing hundreds of thousands from her dead client’s bank accounts, using her credit cards for luxury purchases such as Cartier, Gucci, and Balenciaga.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said that on October 20, 2022, deputies spoke to a niece of a woman who had passed away ten days earlier.

The niece, who had been made the trustee of her aunt’s estate, told PBSO deputies that she discovered approximately $44,000 in unauthorized charges on both of her aunt’s bank accounts…
