LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Staying focused in the classroom can be a challenge for many students, but especially those in special education. A teacher in Lorenzo is using music to grab their attention and teach them much more than the right notes.
It was an afternoon full of 80’s hits on Wednesday, as the Lorenzo Boomwhackers Choir performed its end-of-semester concert. Music Therapist Meagan Case started the choir for special education students a few years ago, after she was given a set of Boomwhackers.
