Cliff jumper rescued from Spitting Caves

HAWAII KAI, Hawaii (Island News) — A swimmer was rescued from the waters of Spitting Caves on Thursday afternoon when he was unable to return to the rocks after jumping off the cliff.

Honolulu Ocean Safety were dispatched to rescue a 20-year-old man before 4:30 p.m. on May 15 after he jumped off the cliff at the popular Hawaii Kai spot. He was unable to swim back to safety after making the roughly 50-foot jump into the water.
