Elderly Orlando Man Killed in Hit-and-Run, FHP Seeks White Minivan in Connection with Incident

A 76-year-old Orlando man lost his life in what authorities are calling a hit-and-run crash last night. The incident on Holden Avenue near the South Orange Blossom Trail on the outskirts of Orlando has prompted an ongoing search for a driver who fled the scene.

According to ClickOrlando, the crash happened around 10:15 p.m., and the pedestrian allegedly moved along Holden Avenue when he veered into the westbound traffic lanes. Upon entering, he was struck by a vehicle described by witnesses as a possible white minivan. “Witnesses described the vehicle as a possible white minivan,” Florida Highway Patrol added, noting their sights set on a white Toyota Sienna showing signs of damage to its front left headlight.

The man was transported to the hospital with severe injuries, but was later pronounced dead. The Florida Highway Patrol mentioned that he had not been walking within a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident.
