Armed felon arrested for allegedly brandishing a gun at a person’s home

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — A 36-year-old man was arrested after police said he was seen brandishing a gun at a Petersburg home on the evening of May 5.

Just after 11 p.m. on Monday, May 5, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police responded to a call at the 1400 block of Pin Oak Drive for a report of a disturbance with an involved weapon.

When officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Orelon Morris, and he was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and brandishing of a firearm.

As a previously convicted felon, Morris cannot legally possess firearms or ammunition…
