The worst-rated nursing homes in the Boise area, based on federal scorecard

As the birth rate declines and the current population continues to age, more and more Americans will find themselves either in a caregiving role or the need for caregiving. Some Americans will require a nursing home to help fill that role. But how do you choose which nursing home best fits your needs?

The most recent data from 2020 indicates that there are approximately 53 million caregivers in the United States with about half taking care of a parent or parent-in-law, according to the AARP.

That’s pretty closely aligned with 2023 U.S. Census Bureau data that found that more than 59 million adults or almost 18% of the nation’s population were age 65 and older. Idaho falls just below the national average, America’s Health Rankings found using census data, at 17.4%.
