Kern County families donate millions for new Mercy Hospital facilities

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two Kern County families are providing Dignity Health’s Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield with transformational gifts.

The Bhambi family is donating $1.5 million, and in turn will name its cardiac services center in their honor.

The Anand family is donating $1.2 million. The hospital’s family birth center will be named in honor of the Anand family’s donation.
