OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – A man was struck and killed by an SUV early Friday while crossing a street in Opa-locka, prompting a police investigation and major road closure.

Around 5:30 a.m., a loud boom startled neighbors near the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and Ali Baba Avenue, leading many to rush outside.
