KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The City of Kalamazoo is quickly working to asses and clean storm damage after severe thunderstorms rolled across the state late last night and early this morning.
High winds, with gusts near 80 mph, and two confirmed tornadoes near Battle Creek brought widespread damage to southern Michigan. Trees and power lines were knocked down and widespread power outages persisted through Friday.
