Little Rock Southwest High senior earns full-ride golf scholarship

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Brea Green, a senior at Little Rock Southwest High School, has earned a full-ride golf scholarship to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), making her the first from her school to receive such a prestigious offer for the sport.

Green’s journey in golf began in kindergarten through the First Tee National School Program. An interest that deepened in sixth grade when a golf team was created at her middle school, giving her the opportunity to compete, learn the rules of the game, and participate in tournaments.

“I’m just really happy that I got the scholarship because I worked really hard and I had a lot of guidance to help me,” Green said. “With golf and my coaches, I’m really excited.”
