OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Police arrested one person Friday afternoon after a short police chase involving a stolen Amazon truck ended on train tracks in southwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to the area near Newcastle Road and South Portland Avenue on Friday after reports of a stolen vehicle.
The driver of the Amazon delivery truck told police that she was outside of the vehicle, making a delivery, before returning to find the suspect, 43-year-old Melvin Bishop, in the driver’s seat. The driver told Bishop to get out of the vehicle, but he refused and took off, according to OKCPD.

Officers located the truck through cameras, and when they arrived, Bishop attempted to drive the delivery truck onto the train tracks, but got stuck.
