Early morning fire destroys Richmond home

RICHMOND, Texas — A residential fire early Saturday morning left a Richmond home heavily damaged, though all occupants escaped without injury, according to the Richmond Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home on Douglas Street near Preston Street around 4:17 a.m. and arrived to find heavy flames and smoke pouring from a single-family home.
