NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After Friday’s severe thunderstorms that led to likely tornadoes in Southern Kentucky and wind damage in Middle Tennessee, there are more chances of severe thunderstorms in our region this upcoming week.
The greatest risk day appears to be Tuesday ahead of a potent cold front that will provide a much needed break in the storm risk and humid temperatures.

Meanwhile, Sunday, May 18, through Tuesday, May 20, will be the days to focus on the weather for possible severe thunderstorms. Both Sunday and Monday have a Marginal Risk (level 1/5).
On Tuesday, the Storm Prediction Center has our area an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) and a Slight Risk (level 2/5).
