New lawsuit filed as Aladdin Café salmonella outbreak nears 100 likely cases

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A third lawsuit has been filed against Aladdin Mediterranean Café in the wake of a recent salmonella outbreak that sickened dozens of people.

The suit was brought by a pair who ate at the popular Clairemont restaurant on Saturday, April 26, early in the outbreak. Their complaint alleges they both became ill with salmonella poisoning shortly after their meal and had to seek medical attention for their condition.

The two began experiencing symptoms associated with salmonella poisoning — diarrhea, cramping, fever, chills and headaches — the day after their meal. According to the complaint, one was tested for the bacterial illness, which came back positive.
