The boundaries of Lake Wales could expand to the west if the City Commission approves a developer’s request to annex 1,202 acres as part of a project that could yield nearly 3,000 new homes.
City commissioners will consider a proposal at the May 20 meeting for Stoneridge, a mixed-use development that would border Lake Wales Municipal Airport on the west and south sides. The project would cover 1,287 acres.
