ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Robertson County man is in custody after allegedly making several threats of mass violence to three schools in Cheatham County Monday morning.
A spokesperson for the Cheatham County School District reported that threats of mass violence were left on voicemails at Kingston Springs Elementary School, West Cheatham Elementary School, and Cheatham Middle School.
The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded and worked with the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security to investigate the threats and trace their origins. Every school in the district sent its students home early, and the affected campuses were swept by law enforcement.
