KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Graphic Packaging International has submitted a request to the state of Michigan for a permit which may further improve air quality near its north side paper recycling plant in Kalamazoo.
The request is to end production on their older K3 machine and permanently shut down boilers 8 and 9. Production would be moved to their K2 facility.
They say modernization would result in a significant reduction in the overall potential to emit several chemicals from the facility…
