Preliminary hearing begins for Utah woman accused in son-in-law’s fatal shooting

PROVO, Utah (KUTV) — Prosecutors played 911 calls and body cam footage during the preliminary hearing for a Utah woman accused in her son-in-law’s fatal shooting in July 2024.

Tracey Grist of American Fork was arrested along with her daughter, Kathryn Restelli, on suspicion of playing a part in her son-in-law, Matthew Restelli’s, death back in July 2024.

So far, the bailiff in the courtroom in Provo told 2News that the mother of the victim was on the stand this morning. After, the lead detective on the case took the stand talking about when he arrived on scene that night.
