KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A popular restaurant in Kalamazoo is temporarily closed after a hood fire caused significant smoke damage Monday morning.
600 Kitchen & Bar off of East Michigan Avenue announced on Facebook Tuesday morning that they expect to be closed for about three to four weeks while extensive cleaning and repairs are done before they can safely reopen.

Fortunately, the restaurant said that no one was hurt thanks to the quick thinking of their staff.
“Thanks to the swift actions of our ‘Heart of the House’ team members Adrianna, Ashley, and Jordan, who alerted the proper authorities and helped ensure the damage was contained,” the business wrote. “We are incredibly grateful for their professionalism and calm response.”…
