The New York Police Department is on the lookout for an individual connected to a violent crime that occurred in the Bronx earlier this month. The NYPD Crimestoppers released a statement that an attempted robbery took place on Saturday at approximately 4:04 P.M., inside a business located at 3706 3rd Avenue in the purview of the 42nd Precinct.
According to the police report, the suspect engaged in a brazen act, assaulting a 21-year-old store employee with pepper spray in an effort to steal property from the establishment. The status of the employee’s health, post-incident has not been publicly shared, nor has the nature or value of the property the suspect attempted to snatch.
The NYPD has turned to the community for assistance, offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
