A Maumee man pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning to aggravated vehicular homicide and other charges arising from an Oct. 4 crash in South Toledo that killed a passenger in his vehicle.
Steven Wallace, 29, of the unit block of Jarvis Road, is charged with alternative counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and third-degree involuntary manslaughter, plus alternative counts of operating a vehicle while impaired for the crash that killed Juan Espinosa, 35.
In Lucas County Common Pleas Court, Judge Gary Cook appointed Gretchen DeBacker as Mr. Wallace’s defense lawyer and set bond at a combined $75,000 for the homicide and manslaughter counts…
