New townhome development in southwest Fort Worth earns council approval

A townhome complex will move forward after the Fort Worth City Council approved zoning changes May 20 for about 33 acres owned by Crowley ISD that the district plans to sell for redevelopment.

The council approved three zoning requests for the land, addressed as 7300 and 7350 Granbury Road and 5591 Mesa Springs Drive in southwest Fort Worth. The tracts are located on the west side of Granbury Road between Altamesa Boulevard and Sycamore School Road, east of the Chisholm Trail Parkway.

Council member Jared Williams said he is pleased that the project is moving forward since the sale of the land would help Crowley ISD have funding available for new facilities…
