Hispanic police sergeant sues Michigan city for discrimination

BANGOR, MI — A Hispanic sergeant has filed a lawsuit against the Michigan city where he works, alleging race and age discrimination.

Juan Mata filed a lawsuit against the city of Bangor and City Manager/Police Chief Justin Weber on April 16, demanding a jury trial for discrimination because of how he was treated while employed at the city.
