TOLEDO, Ohio — Two boats were found adrift on opposite sides of the Maumee River after reportedly being cut loose from their moorings overnight, according to a Metroparks Toledo spokesperson.
The Sandpiper, a well-known local cruise boat, was cut loose from its mooring at the end of Jefferson Street in downtown Toledo. It was later found on land at Glass City Metropark.
Another vessel, being used by Kokosing construction company, was tied up at the former International Park, where the expansion of Glass City Metropark is underway. That boat was discovered across the river near the mouth of Swan Creek…
