$5K reward offered in fatal shooting of 14-year-old near San Antonio school

Crime Stoppers of San Antonio is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the April shooting death of 14-year-old Simon Julian Cuevas III, a San Antonio Independent School District student killed in April.

On April 16 around 2 p.m., seven students jumped Cuevas after dismissal at Brewer Academy. They were at South Elmendorf and Merida on the West Side, two blocks from the school, when someone pulled a gun and shot him, police said.

On Saturday, San Antonio police released a surveillance video of two males whom they described as “persons of interest” in the case…
