In May 13, Mayor Jerry P. Weiers, the Glendale City Council, Glendale Parks and Recreation Director John Kennedy, and members for the architecture and construction companies helped cut the ribbon on re-opening Heroes Regional Park.
The $22 million project on 30 acres broke ground a year earlier. It features eight new pickleball courts, the city’s first lighted synthetic field, two natural grass multi-use fields, a dog park, a play structure and additional parking spaces.
“We are always promoting healthy lifestyles within our great city,” stated Weiers in a press release. “Heroes Regional Park offers amenities across the board for all ages.
