Press release from Green Diamond Resource Company:
Green Diamond Resource Company hosted 41 attendees for NCASI’s annual spring forestry meeting held in Blue Lake, CA, on April 22-24. The meeting included four tour stops on forestlands owned and managed sustainably by Green Diamond, providing attendees valuable insights into forest management in Northern California and highlighting the environmental aspects of operational forestry.
The field tour was designed in collaboration with NCASI to spotlight the intersection of environmental science and forest operations. “NCASI’s mission is to advance environmental science and provide our Member Companies with objective, actionable information to support sustainable forest management,” said Darren Miller, Vice President of Forestry Programs at NCASI. “This annual meeting allows us to bring together our Members and forest sector partners to exchange knowledge, explore collaborative research, and directly observe the application of science-based practices in sustainable forest management.”
“We are always pleased to host tours where we can demonstrate contemporary forestry practices and Green Diamond’s holistic, long-term approach to forestland management that includes improving, monitoring, and conserving habitat critical to native fish and wildlife,” said Elicia Goldsworthy, Green Diamond’s Forest Policy and Communications Manager. “We hope the group gained a better understanding of the complex work Green Diamond employees do every day. NCASI is a valuable resource, providing applied research that helps us with our ongoing commitment to sustainability and stewardship.”…
