I have been deterred, at least twice, by a JOANN Fabric and Crafts employee from buying something that I did not need. I’m pretty sure that the $17 I saved was not cutting into company profits.
On the contrary, this kind of business model made me return many times to the store confident that the army of knowledgeable women working the fabric counter had my back.
