A recent armed carjacking attempt in Northwest D.C. concluded with the arrest of a suspect by the Metropolitan Police Department. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when a man, later identified as 40-year-old Rashad Ricks with no fixed address, approached a seated victim in their vehicle on the 600 block of 10th Street, NW.
According to official reports by MPD, the suspect attempted to forcibly remove the individual from the vehicle at around 7:50 p.m. in an effort to hijack the car.
