Robert Stuart not seeking sixth term after nearly 20 years in office

Orlando City Commissioner Robert Stuart announced in early May that he will not seek reelection.

Stuart said that after representing District 3 on the Orlando City Council for almost two decades, he would not run for a sixth term. As one of the longest-serving commissioners, he has been re-elected four times since his first term in 2006.

“It has been the honor of my professional life to serve the amazing people of Orlando,” Stuart said in a statement. “Words cannot express how honored and grateful I am for the opportunity to work with every one of you over this incredible journey.”…
