MARIETTA — Service members at Dobbins Air Reserve Base attended the base’s annual Memorial Day ceremony on Thursday, commemorating the lives of the 43 men and women of the Georgia National Guard who lost their lives during the global war on terrorism.
The ceremony took place at the Clay National Guard Memorial Wall, which features pictures of the fallen Georgia National Guard members. Following a brief introduction by 2nd Lt. Justin Brooks and the singing of the national anthem by Olivia Singleton, Maj. Jeffrey Herron initiated the invocation.
