Warming back up into the holiday weekend

Today: Skies will be mostly sunny for much of our Friday with warmer afternoon high temperatures. The coast will see breezy winds. Highs for the coast will climb into the lower to middle 60s. Inland, highs will climb into the middle to upper 70s in our westside valleys of Southern Oregon and Northern California. In the Klamath Basin, temperatures will top out in the lower 70s. We will a have a slight chance for some pop-up, isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon east of the Cascades.

Tonight: A calm Friday night is expected for the whole region. Skies will be clear to mainly clear. In the Klamath Basin with lows are expected in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Westside valleys will cool down into the upper 40s and middle to lower 40s in Northern California. Along the coast, lows are expected in the 40s.

Extended: As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we’ll see warmer temperatures. Saturday will be a bright and quiet day. It looks nice for all the different events going on in our region, including Boatnik in Grants Pass and the Azalea Festival in Brookings. Highs along the coast will be in the lower 60s with middle 80s on tap for our westside valleys. In the Basin, highs will be around 80 degrees…
