BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Justin Lum of Fox 10 Phoenix reports that Lori Vallow Daybell’s motion for a new trial regarding the murder of Charles Vallow was denied. The motion was filed on May 1.
Lum explains that the court examined allegations of misconduct by Juror 15, noting multiple media clips demonstrated the juror was unaware of Daybell’s Idaho convictions before being released from the trial. Judge Beresky also found the State appropriately excluded statements from Tylee Ryan and Alex Cox.
