The Austin Police Department (APD) is on the hunt for two men following a shooting incident that occurred last month on South Interstate Highway 35. According to a report received from the APD, the shooting took place at approximately 4:45 p.m. on April 29, resulting in a victim being injured from gunfire. The confrontation involved a shooting from a large, dark-colored pickup truck at a blue Nissan sedan on the 6000 block of South IH-35 northbound.
Investigators describe both suspects, traveling in the truck towing a trailer containing landscaping equipment, as white males with shaggy medium-length hair. A black utility trailer with mesh sides, around four feet high, was hitched to what appeared to be a Ford F-250-like pickup. Towing a trailer, the shots rang out from the left lane of the highway to unsuspecting travelers nearby. The victim survived the attack but suffered injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
The APD is actively seeking information from the public that might lead to the apprehension of the individuals responsible for this crime.
