NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — One man is dead and two others injured after a boat explosion on the Hudson River, according to police.
The incident happened on a barge at a sewage treatment plant near 138th Street in Harlem around 10:30 a.m., fire officials report. A 59-year-old worker was found unconscious and unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead, authorities say.

According to a social media post from the U.S. Coast Guard, the explosion happened near the North River Wastewater Treatment Plant and may be linked to hot work aboard a docked boat.
