Lincoln Crimestoppers seek help identifying man who stole generator from hardware store

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Crimestoppers is looking for a man after he and two others reportedly stole $1,128 worth of merchandise from a Lincoln hardware store.

According to LPD, officers were called on May 1 to Menards on N. 27th St. in regards to a shoplifting incident.

LPD said Menards staff had done an inventory check and realized that they were missing some merchandise. Store security reviewed video, and found that on April 24, two men and a woman walked into the store, and stole a Generac 3300 Watt Inverter and a six-tool combo kit. Together, the two items were valued at $1,128.

On May 9, a woman attempted to pawn the six-tool combo kit at a local pawn shop. LPD identified her as 37-year-old Danielle Christine Hill of Lincoln, one of the individuals seen in the Menard shoplifting security footage, and contacted her. She was cited and released for theft by shoplifting, between $500 and $1,500…
