REST OF THE WEEKEND

Strong high pressure has developed over the Pacific Northwest, maintaining sunny skies for a dry Saturday. Temperatures warmed about 10 degrees over Friday, making for a very summer-like feel outside!

Tomorrow will be nice; but a bit cloudier and about 5 degrees cooler. The only chance for showers in the next week or more is on Memorial Day. A weak cold front moves through the region in the morning, dropping less than 1/10″ of rain (keep watering). I expect significant improvement by Monday afternoon, so if you are headed to a memorial/commemoration event OR barbeque, you’re in good shape.

SUNDAY: Tomorrow will be slightly cooler with increasing clouds as the day progresses. Highs will top out in the mid 70s. A weak front is arriving overnight into Monday, but the showers shouldn’t arrive until midnight or later.

MONDAY: Memorial Day itself is actually our coolest day this week, with highs forecast to be in the upper 60s and low 70s. Ironically, that is supposed to be our “normal” for late May. The morning will be mostly cloudy with a few passing showers. Expect more sunshine by the afternoon with only a stray shower chance.

WARMEST STRETCH SO FAR THIS YEAR…

TUESDAY: Things heat up again Tuesday when high temperatures are expected to reach the upper 70s and low 80s. A few upper-level clouds will float by throughout the day…
