Rude cop violently arrested me after I tried to record him, N.J. woman says in lawsuit

A Gloucester County woman has filed a lawsuit against Harrison Township and three police officers, alleging she was violently arrested in retaliation for questioning and recording a patrolman’s behavior during a traffic crash investigation.

April Perez, of Glassboro, claims in court papers she was targeted by Patrolman Henry McLaughlin on April 22, 2023, at the scene of an accident involving the officer’s own sister.

Perez also claims the officer discriminated against her because she’s an Hispanic woman…
