On an early Friday morning, a vehicle crash in Mililani prompted a rapid response from emergency services. According to the Honolulu Fire Department’s report, a 911 call came in at 4:43 a.m., leading to a multi-agency effort on Kamehameha Highway near Kipapa Gulch. The Honolulu Police Department and Honolulu Emergency Services Department were already in action when the first HFD unit arrived at 4:52 a.m., confronting a two-vehicle collision with one trapped individual.
The HFD quickly called for additional units to assist in the rescue operation. As eight personnel worked on the scene, the fire department’s professionals, having arrived with their tools and expertise, stabilized the vehicle. They had to use hydraulic rescue tools to free the victim, who was deeply entangled within the mangled metal.
