Honolulu’s Chinatown experiencing some parking price hikes

HONOLULU (Island News) — Parking price increases are reportedly occurring in some parts of Chinatown, including Kukui Plaza Public Parking due to sustained high occupancy.

Pastor and local motorist Nick Nickelberry told Island News Sunday, “We know it’s a part of what’s going on in the government, everything is going up.”

ProPark operates facilities in several locations including Chinatown Cultural Plaza. This marks a second hike in rates since last December – now potentially reaching as much as 40% overall in increases within less than a year (depending on the hours and days you’re parking)…
